Today we cruised Glacier Bay National Park. We were one of only two cruise ships allowed that day. Again we had GREAT weather: it was chilly but gorgeous!

| We finally get to use our cold weather clothes! |
The dark parts are rock and debris mixed with the ice that have been pushed forward as the glacier advances.

The noise the glacier makes sounds like thunder, it's so loud. We actually got to see the glacier "calving", which is when big chunks break off into the water.

The picture of our path through the ice was taken from deck 15, pretty high above the surface. All of the ice looks small but is actually quite large -- and only 10% is visible (the other 90% is below the surface). There was so much ice that it slowed us down by an hour.
After leaving Glacier Bay, the rest of the day was cruising south to Ketchikan. More chillin' for us! We had a relaxing evening watching a magic show after dinner, and then drinks in the Wheelhouse Lounge with a jazz quartet.
